Dr. Brians has thirty years of experience in education. She spent ten years in executive consulting and training, ten years home educating her three children, and ten years as a professional educator. Her two oldest children scored in the top 1 % of the United States. Annette's students come from home educated, public school, and private school backgrounds. Many of them have achieved quantum leaps in their academic performance. She has served as an intervention tutor and public school teacher. Her passion is to lead her students to excellence. Annette is a Doctor of Philosophy in psychology. She holds a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Economics. She is a certified teacher in the state of Florida and fluent in German, English, and French. She teaches all three languages up to college level.
Scott is a certified teacher in the state of Florida. He holds a Masters in Engineering from the University of Florida. His experience covers engineering, product development, business process analysis & improvement, sales, and business development. Scott's work spanned across industries as varied as energy, medical, manufacturing, and construction. In 2014, he started working as a professional educator. He is the program and content developer for Dr. Brians Languages producing French and German language learning courses. Scott specializes in math, science, study skills, critical thinking, and instilling confidence. He prepares students for AP math exams, AP science exams, the SAT, and the ACT.
Scott and Annette have home educated their three children since Pre-K. Their oldest is a National Merit Finalist, and their second oldest is currently going through the application process. They both scored in the top 1 % of their home state Florida and the top 1 % of the United States in math and reading. Their youngest has straight A's in high school.
With this academic and professional background, Scott and Annette challenge their students to personal and academic excellence. They foster a personal relationship with each student. They identify strengths and weaknesses. They emphasize critical thinking and thorough understanding of the subject matter. And most importantly, Scott and Annette love to teach and instill a love for learning.
